Oud has a reputation for weight. Worn carelessly it announces itself from the doorway. Worn well it does the opposite, sitting close to the skin and revealing itself only to those already near. The difference is placement and restraint: one press at the pulse, never more, and always before dressing so the fabric takes only what the skin has already warmed.
